Safety Score: 7.5/10 · Value: 7/10 · Beauty: 8.4/10
Saint John's is the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, a twin-island Caribbean nation famous for its claim of 365 beaches, one for each day of the year. English Harbour on the south coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a perfectly preserved Georgian naval dockyard built in the 1720s where Admiral Horatio Nelson was stationed. Antigua Sailing Week (late April) is one of the world's great sailing regattas, drawing hundreds of yachts from across the Atlantic. Barbuda, the smaller sister island, has a stunning pink-sand beach and the Caribbean's largest frigatebird colony.
