Jaipur Travel Safety Guide — India
Safety Score: 6.8/10 · Value: 8.8/10 · Beauty: 8.6/10
Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and the first planned city in India, designed in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II on a grid system and painted entirely in terracotta pink to welcome the Prince of Wales. The Golden Triangle (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur) makes it India's most-visited city outside of Delhi. Amber Fort, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar (UNESCO astronomical observatory) form an extraordinary cluster of royal heritage. The bazaars, block-printed textiles, blue pottery, gemstones, are among India's best for shopping.
