Krakow Travel Safety Guide — Poland
Safety Score: 8.2/10 · Value: 9/10 · Beauty: 8.6/10
Krakow is Poland's most beautiful city, a medieval royal capital that survived WWII entirely intact (it was designated a German administrative capital, so was not bombed). The Wawel Castle and Cathedral, the vast Market Square (Europe's largest medieval square), the Kazimierz Jewish Quarter, and the salt mine of Wieliczka combine to make Krakow one of the most comprehensive historic cities in Europe. It is also extraordinarily affordable, one of the best value destinations in the EU.
